Unreal Engine

Check out my updated Unreal Engine reel, where I showcase my expertise in character related topics, including gameplay, tech art, anim retargeting, anim blueprints, cinematics, lighting, combat design, boss and enemy design, ai behavior trees, weapons, ragdoll physics, cloth simulation, character dynamics, and special effects.

UE5 Third-Person Shooter

Game Prototype

This is a personal game prototype I used to work on during my free time, usually at night before going to bed. It allowed me to practice my skills in game mechanics and content management. I utilized the Gameplay Ability System (GAS) for various aspects of the prototype, and I enjoyed working on the boss behavior tree and the motorcycle implementation. It was a fun prototype to build!

UNREAL ENGINE 4.25

Game Prototype Using Blueprints

I have been working on this game prototype since the covid-19 pandemic started, I am investing around 3 hours every night to learn Unreal Engine in-depth. The demo is inspired by Resident Evil franchise. My main focus in this demo is to design a gameplay system using blueprints completely from scratch. The demo is still work in progress, there are many things that I would like to learn, especially the AI system. After I finish developing the game system, I will start working on some original assets and make it a full playable game! I hope you enjoy the demo, thanks for watching!

UE5 Early Access

Shadow - Game Prototype

A game I have been prototyping on UE5 Early Access. It is still in very early stages, more updates to come in the future! :)

UE5 Early Access

MetaHuman x Lumen (Lighting Study)

METAHUMAN x LUMEN IS UNBELIEVABLE!! Check out this lighting study I created using UE5 Early Access, it is done by one directional light only, and Lumen is doing the rest! 15 years ago; when I was doing my bachelor degree in Fine Arts, my photography professor taught me how to do black and white portrait photography using one constant light, and he used to mention how light angle can change the meaning of the photo… Well, why I am telling this story, because this is the first time I am able to do this study digitally in real-time inside Unreal Engine!! Thanks to MetaHuman & Lumen!!!

UE5 Early Access

Nanite x Lumen (Still Life)

NANITE x LUMEN IS INSANE!!!.. Guys, this is the real deal and the game-changer, UE5 will change the entire industry, not only the game industry, but also the film, tv, and commercials. I built this scene entirely in less than 3 hours, it has thousands of polygons which are supported by Nanite, and I am using only one directional light with two bouncing lights. The scene is running at 60fps on 4k screen resolution, and I am editing the video in real-time while everything is set to the maximum quality! No light baking, no LODs, no rendering! Isn't that crazy?

UE5 Early Access

Lumen Using One Light Source

Same as everybody in the world now, I am testing out UE5 Early Access! I just want to say that Lumen is mind blowing!!! I created this scene in less than 1 hour and using only 1 directional light. Nanite is also impressive! Great job Epic Games, you guys changed the world!

UNREAL ENGINE 4.25

Ray Tracing (Test 1)

I know for a fact that Unreal Engine is the future of cinematography, and when UE5 gets released next year things gonna change in the film industry, especially that it can handle billion polygons and it supports fully dynamic global illumination in real-time! One month ago I decided to invest 1 to 2 hours every night self-learning Unreal Engine. I was interested in learning cinematics because I already have a background in filming and cinematography. I made a couple of cinematic tests on Unreal Engine so far and I am very impressed with the quality that I can get on the fly in real-time! There are plenty of things to learn, even though I am happy with my 1-month progress on Unreal Engine. Here is one of the tests that I made. I will be posting all my other tests on my YouTube channel later. Let me know what you think in the comments below! Fully dynamic light, Ray Tracing is enabled, runs at 24fps on Geforce RTX 2080Ti! Assets are from Epic Games Marketplace, animation is from Mixamo, and music is Madonna of course!

Ray Tracing (Test 2)

Here’s my 2nd Unreal Engine Ray Tracing test! Once again, I am really very impressed with the quality that I get straight out of the engine in real-time! Fully dynamic light, runs at 24fps on Geforce RTX 2080Ti (I can make it run at 60fps with no issues if I reduce the reflections quality)! Assets are from Epic Games Marketplace, animation is from Mixamo, and music is Madonna!
